WHEN: Fridays 6pm-8:30pm, during the School Term
WHERE: Authentic Church - Logan Campus (350 Loganlea Rd, Meadowbrook 4131)
Authentic YTH is the high school ministry of Authentic Church. We believe that everyone should know the gospel and have a relationship with Jesus Christ. YTH Nights are our opportunity disciple, and impart into the next generation. We want to engage parents as part of this process, and we want you as parents to participate in the journey as much as possible. Below is information in regards to the operations, rules and safety processes of Authentic YTH, and a permission form for your students to participate in and be part of Authentic YTH Nights.
TRANSPORT
Students can be dropped off and picked up by parents, or if they are eligible, drive themselves to and from Authentic YTH. We offer pick up from our Ormeau church location before YTH Nights, and home drop offs after YTH. All transport is conducted by approved YTH Leaders, with active Working With Children Checks. For safety, our duty of care extends to home drop offs. Our transport policy states that students can only be dropped off at their listed residence, unless explicit written confirmation is received from the listed parent/guardian.
SAFETY & BEHAVIOUR
Authentic YTH upholds strict safety standards, to ensure the safety of both leaders and students. We require our team to hold an active Working With Childrens Check at all times, and no adults (excluding parent pick up and drop off) are allowed on site. While your students are under our care, they are not allowed to leave the church grounds for any reason, unless they are picked up by a parent early. They can also not bring any weapons, dangerous items, or contraband on site (including cigarettes, vapes, non-prescribed drugs, alcohol).
We uphold Christian values as part of our proceedings, and we ask our students to be respectful of leaders, each other, and the facility in which we meet. If behaviour is deemed to not be appropriate (sexual, aggressive, unsafe, or not compliant with the above stated values), we may have a conversation with your student about their behaviour. If behaviour persists, we may contact parents/guardians to pick them up early, and behaviour may lead to temporary or permanent barring from attendance at Authentic YTH.
If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to our YTH Team, or our Church Team.
